| Toddler Booster Seats |
| 2/15/2010 by Kerri |
Toddler booster seats are suitable for children who weight 15-36kg, approximately 3-12 years old. Toddler booster seats are the last type of child car seat you will need to purchase for your child before they can ride in the car like an adult with the cars own seatbelt as a restraint. Toddler booster seats are designed to give your child a 'boost', basically elevating them so that the vehicles seat belt is comfortable and safe for them to use. Most toddler booster seats are similarly built. There are so many different colours and designs to choose from so you are sure to find one that your child will love. Some have cartoon designs on them, so if your child has a favourite kids programme, you may be able to find them a car seat with the characters from that programme as the design. We, at BabyOnTheGo, have Disney car seats available for children. See the range in our 15-36kg car seats section. A car seat that your child loves to use, means less hassle when buckling them in. Some booster seats come with a back attached, and the back should be used if your back vehicle seats do not have head rests. Booster seats with backs can usually be more comfortable for your children, especially small children, rather than the seats without the back bit. Many children love the booster seats with the backs as they usually have arm rests and cup holders. We have found that many children love the cup holders for putting their sweeties and small toys in. Some booster seats have no back part to the seat. This type of booster seat is usually easier to transport due to the difference in size, compared with a booster seat with a back. Booster seats without backs are suitable if your vehicle back seat has a head rest. Which ever toddler booster seats you decide to buy for your children, make sure you always follow the manufacturers instruction manual for fitting and using the car seat.
