Travel safety gates – These are great if there is any area of the house you don’t want your child to go near. Just simply fit it to a doorway. Cooker guard and knob guards – Those are very handy as they can stop your child from turning the gas on or burning themselves. Stair gates – Stairs can be very dangerous as young babies could fall down them. A stair gate can block the stairs off and stop your child from falling. Fireguard – Using one of those can stop your child from touching the fire and burning themselves. Baby monitor – Simply plug one in the infants bedroom and one in your bedroom or living room so you can hear your baby in case she cries or coughs etc. Baby bath seat – This is a very good thing to own for your baby. You just stick it to your bath and place your baby in it. This will keep your child from falling over into the water. Never leave your child unattended in the bath even if they have a baby bath seat. Bath thermometer – This will tell you if the bath temperature is too hot or cold for your baby. Edge guards – Those are small plastic covers to place over edges of tables for example and can help to cushion edges so that if your child bangs their head, the injury won’t be anywhere near as bad. Highchairs – Those are great for the obvious – feeding your baby in. These mean you can feed your baby more easily as placing them in a highchair will keep them in the same place.
Window locks – Window locks are a small latch that keeps your window open slightly and securely as they lock it in place. They are a great idea to have especially if your child has just learnt how to open the window further. These will stop your baby from being able to push a window even further open.
Car travel seats – These are very important for travelling in a vehicle with your child. Always make sure you follow the instruction manual. Take time when fitting the seat to your car to make sure you do everything correctly. Make sure the fittings or base of child car seats are fitted securely and don’t drive with your child in their seat if it doesn’t feel secure enough. Don’t take your child out in the car without a car seat. It is the law to use one.
